I started in August
So cute and small,
And through the months
I've grown up so tall.
Look at my portraits
And you will see,
How much I've grown-

I staple this poem to the front of a folded piece of construction paper with a photo of the child from the first day of school.  On the inside I paste a student self drawn portrait from the first month of school on the left side and a student self drawn portrait from May on the right side.  It makes a nice end of year gift!

As through the grades you grow

Here is another end of the year gift idea I have used.  Type this poem on the computer and print it on decorative school paper.  I save enough room at the bottom for a photo of the child.  I also laminate it so that it gets home with the child in good shape.
